Huck presents Rule-Breakers: The Exhibition
- Text by HUCK HQ
Photography has the power to change how we see the world. But it’s at its best when it keeps moving forward and isn’t imprisoned by dos and don’ts.
Enter a new generation of risk-taker: photographers who borrow from other realms, identifying as artists when ‘documentarian’ no longer fits the bill. Storytellers who blend fiction and fact in search of a deeper truth. And ordinary people who’ve lived extraordinary lives by stepping over the line.
The Documentary Photography Special V is dedicated to these rule-breakers, whose conceptual approaches are pushing boundaries and heralding an exciting new dawn. Join us as at 71a London for Rule-Breakers: The Exhibition as we celebrate the mavericks changing the game.
Featuring:
Guy Martin • Laura El-Tantawy • Todd Hido • Laia Abril • Mathias Depardon • Dominic Bracco II • Lisette Poole • SJ ‘Kitty’ Moodley • Ryan Staley
EXHIBITION: 10 November – 22 December, 10am – 5.30pm (weekdays), 71a London, EC2A 4QS
Printing by theprintspace, London.
