Jay Howell is the prolific illustrator and cartoon animator behind the TV show’s Bob’s Burgers and Sanjay and Craig. Last week he teamed up with Babylon to paint a killer new mural in their L.A. shop.
Trash Talk, easily the hardest working punk band around, who are basically always touring and always second billed, are behind Babylon L.A., a skate shop/community hangout. They have a bowl in the back, and the shop is meant to be an open creative workspace where kids aren’t forced to buy things.
The time-lapse shows the progression of the mural and all the shitheads who distract Howell as he works. It’s shot and edited by Ryan Baxley, who does music videos for Fidlar. The backing track is ‘Mythmaster’, by the noise rock duo Lightning Bolt.
