Artist Lucas Beaufort is being elusive about his new show at Tom’s Skate Shop “My little creatures want to keep it secret till the opening,” he says. “They allowed me to show you this ‘Bad Fist'(above). If you’re not scared by ghosts and goblins, joins us!”
The cheeky monsters that inhabit Lucas’ mind are constantly breaking out to bring colour and life to everything they touch, like old skate mag covers in his rad Recover Project or graphics for Furr Skateboards.
But what do Lucas and his mischievous critters have in store for their latest adventure? “You will see pieces of wood, nature, photographies and fun creatures,” he says. “It’s all about my love for skateboarding!”
To lift the lid on the mysterious rumblings, head down to the opening party at Toms Skate Shop, Stoke Newington on August 1, 6-9pm. The exhibition runs until the end of August.
